Ben Dowell

President

Ben Dowell served as an engineer officer in the US Army for 10 years in a variety of leadership roles, including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. During this time, he built hard skills in leadership, planning, strategy, operations, logistics, training, and skill evaluation. After leaving active duty in 2013, Ben spent two years at the Kellogg School of Management studying finance and marketing.

After Kellogg, he joined Robert W. Baird as an investment banking associate within the consumer industry group. During two years of M&A advisory work, he executed four successful sell-side transactions at a combined valuation of $750mm, for clients such as 5.11 Tactical and OGIO. Ben left Baird to join Korn Ferry’s human capital consulting practice in 2017.

At Korn Ferry, Ben served clients, heavily focused within financial services, and specifically private equity, commercial banking, and asset management. His work at Korn Ferry spanned across multiple solution areas, including executive skill evaluation, executive coaching, design and facilitation of executive leadership development programs, inclusive leadership measurement, conscious inclusion work-sessions, firmwide DEI diagnostic analysis, human capital data analytics, competency modeling, and design of behaviorally anchored rating scales.

In 2020, Ben was named President of Chamberlain Advisors, a Talent Acquisition Advisory firm based in Chicago.

Ben earned a bachelor of science (BS) in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, a master of science (MS) in engineering management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a master of business administration (MBA) from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. He is certified in several Korn Ferry tools: Leadership Architect, KF360, and KF4D executive assessments.
